The African
Concrete Code is intended to be written for appropriate
use in the African region. The Code will be based on the
African context, similar to other international Codes
such as the ACI Code, the Euro-Code and the Asian Code.
The main objectives of the Code are:

Serving as a
guide to design and construct durable, serviceable,
economical and safe concrete structures in the African
continent in harmony with natural and social
environment.

Serving as a
tool to facilitate and accelerate economical, and
technological exchange in the field of concrete
engineering amidst the African region and the
international community.
